Idealized Landscape With Monuments, Featuring A Figure And Animals, By Pierre Patel (1648–1707).

This work was saved from flooding at the last minute.
Its exposure to water caused numerous creases due to improper storage while it was drying.
However, this gouache has retained all its freshness.
This therefore necessitates the intervention of a conservator to ensure its long-term preservation.
Condition:
As previously noted, this work will require restoration.
There are no missing areas on the surface of the paint layer.
A few perforations and tears are visible in the upper right corner of the vellum.
Restoration of the work would have been entirely feasible, but was not carried out in order to preserve the work in its strictly original condition.
Galerie Le Mont des Arts intervenes only in very exceptional cases on works requiring restoration, in order to ensure complete transparency regarding the piece offered to its future clients, who are always keen to have their usual restorers perform the work.
