Marius Gueit (1877-1956)

Marius Gueit (1877-1956), a native of Bordeaux, was a pupil of Louis Augin and Louis Cabié, renowned landscape painters Lovers of his region, he proposed numerous works representing the landscapes of the Landes and the Arcachon Basin and their forests of pines, but also landscapes of the Dordogne valley and the Lot valley. This is the case of the oil on cardboard that we offer and which represents a view of Salvagnac in Aveyron, this village, located in the Lot valley faces a more well-known village Cajarc (Lot) Oil on cardboard in good condition with a beautiful palette of colors, signed and dated 1929 at the bottom right and located on the back.
