Golden Frame Louis XIII Style Late 19th
This lovely replica, most certainly made at the end of the 19th century by a large house (Lebrun?) To complete a pair, still has a stock reference on the back. Perfect illusion of a Louis XIII period frame, its stylized acanthus leaf frieze runs over the molding whose warm, skilfully patinated gilding surprises with its resemblance to that of a period frame. For a drawing or a work on canvas, this frame deserves special interest.
