Pair of hand-painted miniatures depicting on one the portrait of a notable of the Directory wearing a velvet jacket and a silk scarf; on the other the portrait of his wife elegantly dressed in a blue dress with a shawl on her shoulder, Directoire-I Empire Period late eighteenth-early nineteenth centuries. These miniatures are in good condition. A note: the miniature of the man is a little damaged (traces of humidity on the suit), small slits on the frame of the portrait of the man, some scratches on the wood, slight wear on the miniatures, see photos.
