Medallion Barometer, Louis XVI Period
Medallion-shaped barometer in carved and gilded wood, decorated with garlands of foliage and flowers, Louis XVI knots and a sinking terrestrial globe. The oculus indicating the different states of the barometry has a blue background. The mechanism on the back has been revised by a barometric professional. It is in perfect working order (mercury tube, plunger and counter-plunger). Louis XVI period work from the last quarter of the 18th century. Height: 85 cm. Width: 51 cm.
