Silver Powder Box With Lipstick Case
Solid silver compact with integrated lipstick case.
French work from the beginning of the 20th century, hallmarks "800", "Mecan" and the goldsmith's mark with the letters J and D separated by a fleur-de-lys. The lipstick case is fitted with the same punches, to which is added a "mygale" charençon (punch in use since July 1, 1893 for works with a minimum title of 800 from foreign countries).
The opening is done by pressing the lipstick case which acts as a push button. An oxidized mercury mirror is placed on the upper part. On the lower part, the compact opens with its handle.
It is slightly damaged by a visible dent on the right side and a slight scratch on one of the four edges.
