Elegant Biedermeier Console Table from South Germany about 1820.
Concave base veneered in cherrywood in with mirror glass in the back. The plate is cherry solid wood with ebonized parts and ink line running circumferentially around the edges. All the wood is hand-polished with shellac (French Polish). It has two black half- and two black full-columns with gold-painted capitels and bases.
