Cane Popular Art Wood Carved Snakes Frog Monkey XIXth Century
Old cane in carved wood, pommel decorated with two snake heads, a monkey and a frog on top placed on a bed of leaves, streaked and speckled bole, work of Popular Art from the 19th century. This rod is in good condition and is of high quality. A note: cracks in the wood at the bottom at the level of the ferrule, scratches on the barrel, tiny small impacts on the animals (especially on the side of the frog), wear of time, see photos (see red arrows).
