Known as "Nature (mysterious and veiled) unveiling in front of science" this work signed E. BARRIAS appeared at the beginning of the twentieth century (around 1902) bears the stamp of the founder Susse Frères in Paris, the bronze has two patinas ( medal, and matte gold) in beautiful original condition. At the birth of the Art Nouveau movement, this statue is one of the most representative of this sculptor's talent. Born in Paris, Louis Ernest Barrias (1841-1905) joined the School of Fine Arts in 1858, receiving numerous awards and distinctions, member of the institute and professor at the School of Fine Arts, important orders for funerary and commemorative monuments have been entrusted to him. Louis Ernest Barrias: a major sculptor of this time.
