Dansaert Léon was born in 1830 in Brussels, died in 1909 in Ecouen (Val D'Oise). Painter of naturalized kind in France. Student of Édouard Frère in Paris, he traveled to Italy, worked for some time in Germany, then returned to France, settled in Ecouen in 1882. He participated in the Paris Salon from 1868. He painted with elegance, scenes of the familiar life in the eighteenth century.
Listed in the Bénézit and the small masters of the painting (schurr). It is exhibited in many museums.
Condition: Good condition, the varnish has yellowed over time. (to be cleaned eventually).
