Beautiful advertising poster on paper laminated on a very fine canvas, itself glued on a panel.
The poster was formerly varnished. It represents Tunisia, the mosque of Tunis, tourist expeditions by dromedary with women and children, camel caravans in the desert.
It is signed lower right: F HUGO D'ALESI. 
Frédéric Alexianu, known as F. Hugo d'Alesi, is a French painter, poster artist and illustrator of Romanian origin, born in Hermannstadt in 1849 and died in Paris in 1906.
He notably produced a large number of tourist posters for railway companies at the end of the 19th century.
Listed in the Bénézit.
