Pair Of Saltcellars In Baccarat Crystal With Golden Brass Mount

Pair of oval shaped salterns, dark blue crystal of Baccarat. Gilded brass Louis XVI style frame representing on one side a wreath of rubanned laurels, on the other a young woman resting on a fantastic animal, each of the exteriors a sheaf of stylized foliage. Very good condition of the original gilding, except for a slight oxidation on one of the mounts to the right of the laurel wreath (on the highest ribbon) and on the upper rim just above the same Laurel wreath (see pictures). Very good condition for the crystal. Period late nineteenth, early twentieth.
