"Orientalist Gouache Signed Paul Pascal, 1871"
Very large Orientalist gouache by Paul Pascal (signed and dated 1871), showing the Nile Valley. We see cattle drinking in the foreground and a beautiful vaporous landscape characteristic of the manner of Paul Pascal. The artist, after studying at the Beaux-Arts in Madrid, made several trips to the Orient and specialized in the Orientalist genre. Dimensions with frame: 122 x 93 cm; dimensions without frame: 83x52cm.
