Bordeaux-style Mahogany Chest Of Drawers
A Bordeaux-style commode in solid mahogany, curved at the front and sides. The lower rails are undulating, the one at the front being carved with a shell. It has bronze drawer pulls and keyhole escutcheons. The uprights have built-in storage and terminate in shell feet. Dating from the early 20th century, its aesthetics, quality of execution, and generous proportions display all the characteristics of 18th-century Bordeaux commodes.
