Robert Mortier exhibited throughout the world where it was claimed and acclaimed. A real modern painting. With his comrades Robert Altmann and Gabriel Deluc (to whom was devoted in 2016 an exhibition in Guéthary-Pays Basque - on the occasion of the centenary of his death) he founded the association of "La Libre Peinture".
Guillaume Apollinaire, as art critic, said during his visit to the Salon that 10 rooms must be done before finding a good painting: that of Mortier! Oil on canvas 73 X 60 cm approximately.
