Important dresser half moon inlaid opening by 2 drawers without cross and 2 doors. Rich and important ornamentation of chiseled and gilded bronzes such as the four mythological figures Hercules and Mars and the allegories of prudence and temperance adorning the 4 uprights where the military trophies adorning the doors, in the center of the belt 1 sun, to the base the royal weapons. It is capped with a Carrara marble 5 cm thick. It is in satin amaranth veneer, barberry, sycamore, pear, maple, hornbeam, boxwood and central inlay of attributes. The original of this dresser was commissioned to the cabinet maker JH Riesener, supplier of the furniture guard of the crown for the room of King Louis XVI in 1775 at Versailles. When the property of Louis Philippe was sold in 1857, the Duke d Aumale bought the piece of furniture, currently kept at the Château de Chantilly (Conde Museum) Manufacture de Faubourg Saint Antoine, 1st part of the 20th century.
