Mahogany, mahogany veneer and ornamentation of chiseled and gilded bronze, the armrest consoles resting on the terms of man draped in the antique, trim "in white" With their very characteristic sculpture, these elegant armchairs can be attributed to Bernard Molitor. We find in fact in the work of the latter a typical treatment of the amounts-women draped in the antique, vestal, satyrs ... - on tables of environments, consoles etc. These include the pair of planters that belonged to the King of Westphalia and a pair of chairs sold in 2002 The amounts of our chairs are similar to those appearing on a model of office chairs traditionally attributed to Molitor; Ferri & Associés, Paris (Hôtel Drouot), April 13, 2012, lot 222 and Sotheby's, New York, November 12, 1999, lot 308.
