Beautiful White & Gold Porcelain Cup, "litron" Model, With Saucer, France, Directoire Or Consulate Period
This piece is very similar to another one I recently featured on proantic... Like those from major manufacturers such as Darte or Pouyat-Russinger, here is a very pretty “litron”-shaped cup. Made of white porcelain, it is decorated—as is its saucer—with gold plant motifs and flowers arranged in a slightly more random pattern. Unfortunately, there’s no signature… though it’s surely from a major manufacturer!
Very good overall condition, no chips or flaws. A bit of wear on the gold of one flower on the saucer. Clearly visible in my detailed photos. Please look at them carefully—I’m not hiding anything!
French craftsmanship—a beautiful antique porcelain piece dating from the very late 18th or very early 19th century, during the Directoire or Consulate periods.
Dimensions: Cup: 6.2 cm H x 6.2 cm
Saucer: 13 cm x 3 cm H
