A magnificent Art Nouveau-era vase in engraved and gilded crystal by Baccarat, circa 1878–1880.
A Japanese-style floral decoration featuring an insect, crafted entirely from wheel-engraved crystal and highlighted with fine gold. The vase bears the number "20" engraved on its underside.
Height: 17.5 cm. Width: 13.5 cm. Very good condition. No cracks, no chips. The crystal is crystal clear.
A pair of vases of the same shape and decoration, a variant with a mount and decorated without gold leaf, was sold in 2024 (see last photo).
