A rare and superb set of 4 stemmed glasses made of very fine crystal, wheel-engraved, attributed to the famous Viennese glass art house J. & L. Lobmeyr, Vienna, Austria
Height: 15 cm
Wheel-engraved. Work of remarkable finesse and precision, featuring an intricate Baroque-Renaissance-inspired design composed of foliage scrolls, volutes, monogrammed cartouches, and birds with outstretched wings—doves
The flat, circular base is also richly engraved with a circular border matching the design on the glass body. The baluster stem is faceted, creating a superb play of light.
A testament to the excellence of glass craftsmanship
The precision of the copper-engraved decoration, which extends all the way to the base of the glass, is a hallmark of the art workshops at Lobmeyr, purveyor to the Imperial Court of Austria.
