signed by G. Picard (Georges Picard, 1916–2007), the renowned French ceramicist and painter. Ideal as a vintage coffee table top or as a large decorative wall panel.
Dating from the 1960s/1970s, this piece is a superb testament to the golden age of French art ceramics.
Poetic and expressionist design featuring stylized flowers. A superb contrast between the highly textured beige background—reminiscent of lava or volcanic rock—the incised black lines, and the vibrant glazes: bright red flower centers and a large yellow motif.
