A magnificent and authentic late 19th-century hallway or entryway lantern in the Directoire Transition style.
A piece of great finesse, ideal for adding character to an entryway, hallway, or stairwell
Impeccable frosted crystal cylinder adorned with a superb floral design, engraved and cut with palmette motifs and six-petaled flowers.
The striking contrast between the glossy motifs and the matte background is characteristic of Baccarat’s craftsmanship. No chips or cracks.
Original openwork bronze/brass structure and galleries. The piece is sold as-is.
Extremely rare suspension system: the lantern remains complete with its three twisted brass chains, its balancing pulley, and its original eye-cover cap decorated with scrolls.

The lantern is complete and in good condition. The bronze parts are shown uncleaned to preserve their original patina
