Cartier Double C Trois Ors Ring, Vintage, Circa 1990

Artist: Cartier

An iconic ring from the prestigious House of Cartier, the Double C model, crafted in three types of gold—a classic combination for this renowned house: yellow gold, rose gold, and white gold.

A signature creation of Cartier jewelry from the 1990s, this ring features a design that is at once graphic, bold, and refined, showcasing one of the House’s most recognizable symbols: the famous double C.

Its wide open band consists of three gold bands in contrasting colors, delicately domed and arranged in parallel flutes. The alternation of yellow, rose, and white gold creates a subtle interplay of shades and light, emphasizing the harmonious volumes of this composition.

At each end, the ring is finished with a stylized “C” in polished yellow gold, whose curved lines follow and accentuate the three gold bands. Arranged face to face, these two motifs add depth to the overall design, forming the aesthetic signature of this creation and giving it its instantly recognizable character.

The contrast between the soft curves, the relief of the gadroons, and the bold geometry of the two Cs gives this ring a particularly balanced aesthetic, both sculptural and timeless.

Its open design also lends it great originality, while retaining the presence and comfort of a wide band.

This creation perfectly illustrates Cartier’s craftsmanship, as well as its talent for transforming its own codes and emblems into true elements of jewelry.

The ring is signed Cartier, numbered, and hallmarked with an eagle’s head, certifying its 750/°° (18 KT) gold content. It is also engraved with its ring size, 56, corresponding to an actual measurement of approximately 57.

It comes with its original Cartier jewelry box.

A vintage piece with character, featuring an instantly recognizable design that epitomizes the elegance and creativity of the House of Cartier in the late 20th century.
