"iris" Art Nouveau Game Table
A solid mahogany game table with a rectangular top featuring a slightly scalloped edge and rich floral marquetry decoration depicting stylized irises and foliage. The tabletop is framed by a frieze of satin-finished mahogany and rests on an elegant molded band adorned with plant motifs in marquetry. It opens via a sliding tabletop mechanism, revealing its interior compartment designed for games. It rests on four curved, tapered legs with the organic lines characteristic of Art Nouveau furniture. Beautiful craftsmanship and particularly decorative design.
