Pair Of Rocaille Lamp Bases, 19th Century
A very beautiful pair of lamp bases consisting of silver-plated bronze candlesticks, with rich chiseled decoration in the Louis XV style, on a plain background and an “amati” background, featuring scrolls, rocaille motifs, seeds, shells, acanthus leaves, etc.; the three-part baluster shaft supports the lampshade and rests on a pedestal base with a scalloped border (drilled for electrical wiring).
