Pair Of Large Louis XVI-style Mirrors, Naples, 18th Century
An elegant pair of large Neapolitan mirrors from the Louis XVI period, dating to the 18th century.
The frames, which have a striking decorative presence, are made of carved wood, lacquered white, and embellished with gilding. The decoration features floral, plant, and ornamental motifs typical of the Louis XVI neoclassical style, distributed along the side panels and on the upper and lower panels.
Their considerable height and the refined interplay of white and gold lend these mirrors great luminosity and elegance, making them particularly well-suited for grand reception rooms, salons, entryways, or large residences.
