1900 Vase With Engraved Lake Landscape Design By Gallé, In Perfect Condition, 25 Cm, Daum Art Nouveau Era
Artist: Gallé
A beautiful Art Nouveau vase with a lake landscape design by Gallé.
While the design is a classic of this famous glassmaker’s work, note the finesse of the engraving on this piece and the beautiful polychromatic effect, with green at the base, opaline in the center, and orange at the top. Truly a beautiful piece with great depth, featuring tall trees in the foreground, a body of water where the vegetation is reflected, and a forest in the background—all very delicately engraved… I’ll let you be the judge…
In perfect condition, signed on the side, 25 cm tall, circa 1900
A beautifully crafted piece, both in the finesse of the engraving and in its color—it looks superb on a nice piece of furniture.
