A rare and spectacular pair of large 19th-century Chinese lidded vases, made of celadon-glazed ceramic, featuring exceptional relief decoration composed of dragons, turtles, and numerous figures.
These vases are distinguished by their particularly original shape, combining an ovoid base resting on a small pedestal with a long, ringed cylindrical neck, topped by a conical lid surmounted by a mythical creature.

At their bases, numerous small figures in traditional Chinese attire are arranged in a circle around the vases, accompanied by various animals and symbolic motifs, notably turtles.
