Vase With Pink Begonias By Daum, In Perfect Condition, Gallé Era, 1900
Artist: Daum
A superb and rare Daum vase decorated with pink begonias.
All the finesse of the Daum house is evident in this beautiful vase, which features a design entirely created using acid etching and finely glazed over the top. This represents the finest quality of this signature. Note the extreme delicacy of the begonia flowers and leaves against a pink, mottled, marbled background with touches of yellow and a base that leans toward raspberry. Elegant spherical shape with a slightly flared neck.
In superb condition, which is rare. Signed on the side “Daum Nancy with a Lorraine cross” and “France” within a triangle, circa 1910
10.5 cm tall and 12.5 cm in diameter.
A true little gem of 1900s glassware, with beautiful colors.
