signed Mlle Eugénie BEAUFILS de la RANCHERAYE (Guise, Aisne, 1792 – Candes-Saint-Martin, Indre-et-Loire, 1877).
A student of Robert Lefèvre, she was active from at least 1827 to 1840; her miniatures are, however, very rare today.
Young Girl in right-side profile, a very beautiful signed work, framed and mounted under an oval, domed glass pane;
the backing board has a crack at the bottom center
painting dimensions: 9 cm x 11 cm; wooden frame: 16 x 18 cm, in very good condition.
