Flat Desk – Louis XV Style – Napoleon III Period

A superb French flat-top desk in the Louis XV/Rococo style, dating from the Napoleon III era, richly adorned with gilded bronze fittings of exceptional quality.

This elegant piece stands out for its original leather work surface, its refined marquetry, and its exceptional decorative richness. The front features three drawers, embellished with magnificent gilded bronze ornaments.

The bronze fittings are entirely secured with screws—not merely glued or set—which attests to the care taken in its craftsmanship and the quality of the piece’s execution. The finesse and precision of the bronze work are particularly remarkable.

The piece features a high-end finish, with a beautiful harmony between the marquetry, the gilded bronze, and the elegant lines characteristic of the Louis XV style, which was highly prized during the Napoleon III period.

A particularly decorative and elegant piece of furniture, ideal for a classic or elegant interior, or as the centerpiece of an office or study.
