A graduate in Industrial Design, Dario Zaffaroni’s artistic career has its roots in the 1960s.
Visual perception is the cornerstone of his work.
In the series “Cromodinamiche Fluorescenti,” he works with shapes, geometric reliefs, and cut-out fluorescent paper: the fluorescence serves as a powerful visual stimulus, almost acting as a call to attention. The geometric shapes, with their mathematical precision, seem imprisoned within colored strips that intersect like laces, bars, or constraints, but as soon as the viewer shifts their perspective, the shapes break free and gain dynamism and energy, inviting the viewer into a play of shifting tones, lights, refractions, shadows, and forms—all resulting from the observer’s movement relative to the artwork.
Work in a display frame.
