Large Ceramic Wall Plate Signed "vieux Moulin Vallauris" By Robert Pérot, 1960
Artist: Robert Pérot - Vieux Moulin Vallauris
Large ceramic wall plate signed "Vieux Moulin Vallauris" by Robert Pérot, 1960
Created by ceramic artist Robert Pérot (1931–2003) in his “Vieux Moulin” studio in Vallauris in the 1960s; this dish exemplifies his sculptural and pictorial talent.
After studying at the Beaux-Arts in Reims, from which he graduated in 1949, he settled in Vallauris from 1953 to 1973, establishing the “Le Vieux Moulin” studio, where he produced ceramics alongside major artists such as Picasso.
The artist’s pictorial and modernist style is clearly recognizable, with its abstract Cubist designs and the delicacy of the stoneware. In very good overall condition, it would be ideal for display on the wall as part of a collection of ceramics by mid-20th-century French artists.
Fast and careful shipping to France, Europe, and worldwide.
