19th-century Oval Mirror In Gilded Wood, Louis XV Style
A 19th-century oval mirror in gilded wood, in the Louis XV style.
The upper portion is adorned with a pediment featuring a shell flanked by acanthus leaves, with a cascading floral garland on either side.
In the lower section, a smaller shell is accompanied by acanthus leaves.
The molding of this mirror is decorated with a ribbon of pearls and an engraving of flowers and foliage. Period beveled mirror with a few very slight imperfections due to age (small scratch on the right, see photo)
Mirror with its period gold leaf gilding in very good condition (slight wear on the gilding, also due to its age, is entirely normal)
The mirror as a whole is in excellent condition.
