Regency Period Mirror Circa 1710-1730
Very elegant and superb mirror with glazing beads from the Regency period in sclute and gilded wood. Surmounted by a pediment very richly decorated with Bérain baguettes, palm trees, garlands, acanthus leaves and two chimeras on each side of a central shell. On either side of this pediment, two espagnolettes (woman's face) surmounting a decoration mixing flower buds, beaded acanthus leaves, pigtails, windings, scrolls, foliage, all of a very high quality of sculture, period gilding alternating matt and shiny parts and in a very good state of preservation. All of these mercury mirrors are original. Rear parquet flooring also period with fungicide treatment. Perfect state of conservation.
