Louis XV-style Stocking Frame In Richly Carved Walnut – 19th Century

Beautiful 19th-century carved walnut chest of drawers, featuring rich decoration in the Louis XV style.

Tall and narrow in shape, it is topped by a substantial sculpted, molded cornice, adorned with a basket of fruit, foliage, and sculpted grape clusters.

The upper part of the large door features a scalloped opening adorned with six turned spindles, revealing the interior shelves.

The lower section is particularly decorative, carved with a trophy featuring rustic and musical motifs, surrounded by flowering branches and topped with a bow.

It also opens via a drawer in the lower section.

The lower crossbar, openwork and richly carved with flowers and foliage, rests on scroll-shaped legs.

The interior is fitted with several shelves.

A beautiful 19th-century regional chest of drawers, with particularly elaborate carved decoration, which can also serve as a display or storage piece.
