Kashima 2-seater Sofa By Michel Ducaroy, Ecru Velvet, Ligne Roset Edition
◼ HISTORY & DESIGN
Kashima two-seater sofa, designed by Michel Ducaroy in the 1970s and produced by Ligne Roset. As Roset’s in-house designer, Ducaroy was one of the pioneers of all-foam seating. Following the Togo (1973), he adapted the Chesterfield-style upholstery for the Kashima: bolster-style armrests, a backrest with tufted cushions, and a deep seat—all without any visible frame. The model was reissued by Ligne Roset in 2023.
