A rare double-sided devotional painting, dating from the 18th century, featuring two sacred scenes painted on both sides of the same wooden panel and set in a simple dark wooden frame.The first side depicts the Purification of the Virgin, an episode linked to the Presentation of Jesus in the Temple. The second side shows the Resurrection of Christ: the Redeemer, wrapped in a red cloak and surrounded by a halo of clouds and light, rises from the tomb, while the guards—in armor and in agitated poses—lie or retreat, dazed, around the tomb.
