Bodhi Table Container, 180 Cm In Diameter, Designed By Marcel Wanders For Moooi

A large round dining table from the Container series, the Bodhi model, designed by Marcel Wanders for the Dutch brand Moooi. With its 180-cm-diameter tabletop, this model is the largest version in the line.

The tabletop, shown here in light, honey-toned oak veneer, rests on the signature base of the Container series: a conical, hollow polyethylene structure, clad in this Bodhi version with a shell of vertical wooden slats. This hollow base can be weighted with sand or pebbles to reinforce stability and create a solid foundation—a playful and ingenious concept unique to the world of Marcel Wanders, which earned the series its name, “Container.”

The result is a piece of furniture with a strong contemporary design, straddling the line between sculpture and function, that combines the organic silhouette of the base with the elegant simplicity of the wooden tabletop.
