Important ornamental crest from a SPRAGUE-THOMSON train, emblematic of the first all-metal cars put into service in the Paris metro from the beginning of the 20th century, and used until the 1980s.
Made of gilded stamped metal (probably brass), these decorative elements feature the coat of arms of the City of Paris.
Testimony to the industrial design and visual identity of the capital's metropolitan network, they are now remarkable heritage pieces.
