Small coffee table or side table made of mahogany and flamed mahogany veneer, dating from the first third of the 19th century, Empire-Restoration period.

The upper section features a rectangular, bowl-shaped top, bordered by a solid, slightly flared rail. The base opens to reveal a large, lockable drawer, the interior of which retains several small side compartments for storage.

The piece rests on two straight legs of rectangular cross-section, adorned at their base and top with bronze rings, joined by a substantial crossbar that forms the base.

The quality of the veneer is particularly evident on the drawer front and the top’s rim, featuring mahogany with a beautiful grain and sheen.

The base rests on small casters, making it easy to move the piece—a characteristic feature of decorative furniture from this period.

In good overall condition, with a few marks, minor repairs, and signs of wear consistent with its age.
