1874-model Cuirassier Helmet From The Third Republic
A Model 1874 cuirassier helmet from the era of the Third Republic. It consists of a steel or nickel-plated helmet shell, a brass crest, scale-patterned chin straps, a brass forehead plate decorated with an embossed motif depicting a grenade and laurel leaves, a red horsehair crest (marmouzet), and a removable red plume.
