Iranian Bronze Flask
The pear-shaped body, narrow neck, and wide rim are characteristic of metal vessels from the late Sassanid and early Islamic periods in Iran. The decoration of carved teardrop-shaped cabochons and the small protrusions around the opening link this vial to a group of similar objects produced in eastern Iran and even further east, between the 8th and 12th centuries.
