Round, rifled barrel, marked on top “COLT’S PT. F. A. MFG. Co HARTFORD CT. U.S.A.” and “45 COLT.” on the left side.
Steel frame engraved on the left side with “PAT. SEPT. 19. 1871. JULY 2, 72, JAN. 19, 75.” and stamped “142893” twice on the underside.
Six-shot cylinder, six grooves and six notches.
Bolt carrier numbered “11.”
Stock stamped “142893.”
Checkered ebonite stock plates, marked with the Colt foal logo.
All parts share the same serial number.
Single-action, percussion-fired.

In very good condition except for the intermediate notch, which does not engage properly.
