Round barrel with rifled bore, blued finish.
Steel frame engraved with scrollwork, nickel-plated finish, stamped “2738” and marked “PL Breveté SGDG” on the underside.
Checkered trigger, stamped “2738” and monogrammed “V” on the inside.
Blue-finished steel grip plates.
Lanyard ring.
Seven-shot semi-automatic system.
Original leather holster.
Invented by Jacques Rouchouse in 1889.
Around 1890, Jacques Rouchouse succeeded Juste Escoffier as head of his gunsmith shop located at 7 Rue Villeboeuf in Saint-Étienne. Juste Escoffier was the son of Félix Escoffier, a former contractor for the Saint-Étienne Arms Factory.
