Double-barreled percussion pistol, traveling pistol, 19th century, circa 1843. Materials: wood, steel, brass; overall length: 21 cm. 19th century, circa 1840, Germany? Steel barrels, octagonal and smoothbore; the barrels and breechblock bear the proof mark "53" and the mark "U" above the crown, as well as the date 1843. The weight and serial number are marked on the other side of the barrels. The box-type breechblock is equipped with two hammers and two triggers in a wide steel trigger guard. The short, smooth stock is made of walnut and terminates in a spherical pommel.
