An elegant pair of clear blown-glass vases, decorated with polychrome enamel painting and accented with gilding.

Tall and slightly flared in shape, the two vases are adorned with a delicately painted floral design featuring small polychrome flowers and foliage, as well as a particularly original motif of a flower-filled basket suspended by a gold ribbon, which appears on both pieces. The large gilded bows and the bands accentuating the necks complete the refined and highly decorative design.

The stylised, floral composition is characteristic of the historicist and Art Nouveau style of Bohemian glassware around 1900.

Both vases are in very good overall condition. The glass is intact, with no cracks or chips. A few small areas of enamel loss on the flower baskets are visible, mainly on the raised elements, and should be considered in light of the pieces’ age.
