Large iridescent crackled glass pitcher – Bohemia, circa 1900

A very lovely large pitcher in iridescent art glass with a crackled finish, from Bohemia, circa 1900.

The rounded body, crafted from amber-yellow glass with a very pronounced crackle effect, is topped by a quadrangular neck with gently rounded corners. The applied handle, with a geometric shape, echoes the iridescent hues of the glass, with subtle pink, purple, blue, and green reflections.

The particularly rich crackled surface and iridescence produce a very luminous effect that varies with the lighting. The understated and original form is typical of the artistic exploration of Bohemian glassworks around 1900.

This piece has been attributed to various makers in the past, notably Loetz, Kralik, and Harrach. In the absence of a signature or mark that would allow for a definitive determination, we are cautiously presenting it as a piece of Bohemian art glass, circa 1900.

Very fine decorative quality and striking presence.

Condition: good overall condition. Some slight signs of use and surface wear, visible in the photographs. No restoration.
