19th-century Art Nouveau Decorative Crystal Goblet With Solid Silver Cutwork By Minerve

Decorative bowl serving as a centerpiece, with a cut crystal body (most likely by Baccarat or Saint-Louis) finely engraved with stylized ears of wheat, with a solid silver mount hallmarked with the Minerva mark and the silversmith Charles Vincent (1889–1922), chased with rose branches, wild rose blossoms, and flowing foliage along the rim, dating from the Art Nouveau period of the late 19th to early 20th centuries.

This bowl is in good condition and of superb quality. It is hallmarked; see photos. It rests on a small circular base, also rimmed with silver. This asymmetrical and dynamic design of foliage and floral motifs is typical of this era and of the Art Nouveau style, which often draws on themes of nature and abundance.
