Depicting a scene of elegant figures in a rural setting. Ribs and tips made of mother-of-pearl, finely openwork, engraved, and embellished with floral or gilded motifs. Fan likely from the first half of the 19th century (in the 18th-century galant style), with a richly crafted mother-of-pearl frame and a painted panel. Depicting a rural or courtly scene with figures in period costumes, surrounded by dark borders adorned with gilded motifs (scrollwork). The ribs (the rigid stems) are made of openwork and carved mother-of-pearl, finely engraved with gilded highlights. The central ribs form a transparent cartouche painted with a small pastoral landscape. Fan from the 19th century, likely from the Napoleon III period or in the Neo-Rococo style (inspired by the 18th century). Depicting a romantic or pastoral scene with figures in period costumes set against a backdrop of gardens and landscapes. The frame is made of mother-of-pearl, finely openwork, carved, and engraved with silhouettes and plant motifs. The tips (feathers) and inner ribs display very delicate mother-of-pearl lacework.
